BBC America has hired actor John Hannah (“Sliding Doors,” “The Mummy,” “Four Weddings and a Funeral”) to host its Monday night block of mystery programming. Beginning Sept. 27, the Scottish actor will host the channel’s mystery slot anchored by shows such as “Prime Suspect.”
“We are delighted to have John Hannah as the new face of BBC America’s critically acclaimed Mystery Monday strand,” said Jo Petherbridge, the network’s acting chief operator, in a statement. “A huge star on both sides of the Atlantic, John’s name is synonymous with high-quality drama.”
