Veteran network publicist Cheryl Daly has joined the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as director of communications, the organization announced Tuesday.

In the newly created position Ms. Daly will oversee publicity for the Emmy Awards and other initiatives. Before joining the academy, Ms. Daly served in several communications

positions at CBS.
