Disney XD has given the greenlight to its first live-action pilot “I’m With the Band,” about a tween boy tapped to play lead guitar in a rock band looking for a comeback, the Hollywood Reporter says. The project, from creators Michael Kaplan and Ron Rappaport, is planned as part of Disney XD’s launch next February after Toon Disney gets the rebranding treatment, the trade paper says.
