“Big Brother” fans will be able to view the housemates on the go. CBS Mobile, Verizon Wireless and Qualcomm-owned MediaFLO USA are partnering to air live 24-hour feeds of this season’s “Big Brother” house over VCast Mobile TV.
The “Big Brother” channel, which will be available at no additional charge to VCast Mobile TV subscribers, marks the first time a prime-time TV show has aired live and continuously on U.S. mobile handsets.
The service will offer “Big Brother” downloads, special video clips, photos, live breaking house alerts and daily insider summaries sent straight to cell phones.
However, Qualcomm said CBS may block or delay mobilecasts in order not to spoil certain events for television viewers.
“Big Brother 8” has appeared in several different media this season, including on CBS and Showtime, as well as online.
