Kids network Nickelodeon is making plans to cover the inauguration of Barack Obama as president, the Associated Press reports. The coverage will appear during commercial breaks and between primetime shows, the AP says. Nick won’t cover Obama’s speech live, but will air excerpts shortly after it is done. “We can’t go live in the same way the networks are going live
but it will feel the same way to kids,” Marva Smalls, the channel’s executive VP for public affairs, tells the wire service.
