Fox’s Batman prequel “Gotham” has cast the character who will evolve into the villain known as Two-Face. TheWrap.com reports that Nicholas D’Agosto has landed the role of Harvey Dent, the character’s original name.

Aaron Eckhart played the character in the film “The Dark Knight.” On the new Fox drama, Dent is an assistant district attorney who wants to get rid of the corruption that’s plaguing the city.

D’Agosto will appear as a recurring guest star, with the option of getting upped to a series regular if the show is renewed. He recently recurred on Showtime’s “Masters of Sex.”
