CBS is winning viewers against Fox’s “American Idol” with the help of “NCIS” and its new crime drama “The Mentalist,” Bloomberg News reports. With “Idol” down by almost 1 million viewers, “‘Idol’ isn’t quite the weapon of mass destruction that it used to be,” CBS scheduling chief Kelly Kahl told the news wire.
