Helen Verno, executive VP of movies and miniseries at Sony Pictures Television, condemned plans to cut some TV movie categories out of the main Emmy telecast as “disgusting,” Daily Variety reports. Speaking at a Caucus for Producers, Writers and Directors panel, Verno urged producers to write to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to voice their objections, the trade paper says.
