NBC plans to order eight one-hour episodes of “Great American Road Trip,” which features seven families driving cross-country to popular tourist spots where they compete in challenges, the Hollywood Reporter says. The show, produced by BBC Worldwide, will debut in the summer with returning reality shows such as “America’s Got Talent,” the trade paper says.
