A television camera drone crashed during coverage of an Alpine slalom race, landing inches away from four-time World Cup champion Marcel Hirscher as he was making his run.

The Austrian skier commented afterward that he “felt something” when the drone crashed just behind him, but he did not see the crash and completed his run. Video covering the event Tuesday in Italy captured the dramatic moment as the drone crashed and disintegrated.
