Sci Fi has cast Tahmoh Penikett of “Battlestar Galactica” and Laura Vandervoort of “Smallville” in its four-hour TV movie “Riverworld,” the Hollywood Reporter says. Ryan Carnes of “Desperate Housewives” has been cast as the Phantom in “The Phantom,” the trade paper says. Both TV movies will serve as trials for possible series, according to the Reporter.
