Canadian broadcasters expect a shortened L.A. Screenings because there are fewer pilots to show, the Hollywood Reporter says. The event, which begins Friday, usually lasts a week, but Canadian buyers predict it will be over by the end of the weekend, the newspaper says. In addition to fewer produced pilots by studio suppliers, CanWest Media bought several series from NBC Universal ahead of the scheduled screenings, the newspaper notes.
