Britney Spears, who will perform on MTV’s Video Music Awards later this month for the first time in 10 years, narrates a new video teaser for the event in which a familiar python is featured. (You can see the video below.)

E! News reports that Spears will perform her new song “Make Me…” at the Aug. 28 ceremony. But at this point the appearance of that same white python is all the buzz.

The teaser evokes memories of Spears’ 2001 VMAs performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U,” when Spears sang with the snake draped over her shoulders.
