An actress best known for her role in the 1990 John Waters-Johnny Depp movie “Cry-Baby” has died.
Kim McGuire, who played Mona “Hatchet-Face” Malnorowski in the movie, reportedly died Wednesday of complications from pneumonia. She was 60.
TMZ.com reports: “Kim’s husband, Gene, tells TMZ Kim fell ill earlier this week and was taken to a Florida hospital Tuesday. Gene says docs discovered Kim had a bad case of pneumonia and put her in the ICU. However, Kim didn’t take well to treatment and she went into cardiac arrest twice … passing away on Wednesday.”
McGuire had a number of other acting credits, including a run as Nicole Thorne on the TV series “On the Air” in 1992. She reportedly worked as an attorney after her acting career ended.
