ABC is making some big changes with 11 new shows for the 2009-10 season, including an all-new comedy night, Television Week reports. The buzzed-about drama “Flash Forward” will be slotted in the key 8 p.m. Thursday time slot, while Mark Burnett’s reality show “Shark Tank” will be scheduled Tuesdays at 8 p.m., the publication says. ABC’s push into comedies comes at a time when the genre has fallen out of favor, with just 22 comedies on the broadcast networks last fall compared with a record of 50 on air during the fall of 2003, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing Magna Global.
