The recent book by Tom Shales and James Andrew Miller "ESPN: Those Guys Have All the Fun"–a revealing oral history of the groundbreaking sports network–may be turned into a feature film, reports SportsNewser.

According to a story by Deadspin.com, a major Hollywood studio is ready to invest in a film about the creation of ESPN, something like "The Social Network," which depicted Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook from inception to media revolution.

Whether the ESPN book will be made into a feature film is still to be determined, with some experts saying it might be better suited as a miniseries for TV.

On today’s "The Dan Patrick Show" on DirecTV’s Audience Network, the host speculated on who could play some of the ESPN characters. Among of the names bandied about: James Gandolfini as Chris Berman, Paul Giamatti as Tony Kornheiser, and Jeffrey Wright as Michael Wilbon.
