Hank Williams Jr. isn’t meekly accepting ESPN’s decision to cut his opening song from "Monday Night Football," reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

Williams showed up on ABC’s "The View" on Tuesday, wearing a New York Yankees/Mickey Mantle jersey. "Mickey is a mean mouse," he said at one point, the piece notes.

When co-host Joy Behar said that comparing President Obama to Hitler was "treacherous" and he could have used a comparison to another controversial figure such as Stalin, Williams replied, "I didn’t go to Harvard. I’m not smart enough to know the difference," according to the article.

Williams also insisted that ESPN had violated his constitutional rights, although host Barbara Walters pointed out that ESPN’s decision illustrated the consequences of free speech.
