Former "Melrose Place" star Heather Locklear was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after a 911 call by her sister, USA Today reports.

Locklear’s sister became concerned about the condition the actress was in after she reportedly took a mix of prescription drugs and alcohol, the story notes.

Locklear’s parents, Bill and Diane Locklear, later issued a statement saying: "She is in no danger and she’s going to be just fine." The actress was taken from her home in Westlake Village, Calif., to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.

TMZ.com reported that doctors were hopeful that Locklear would be released today.

Locklear, 50, broke off her engagement with Jack Wagner in November, following an on-again, off-again romance, USA Today notes.

The story adds: “Locklear has been hospitalized several times over the years, notes AP. In 2009, she pleaded no contest to reckless driving after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.”

Locklear is known for a long string of high-profile television roles. Besides “Melrose Place,” she has been featured on “Dynasty,” “T.J. Hooker” and “Spin City,” earning six Golden Globe nominations.
