Actress Carrie Fisher, the iconic Princess Leia from the original “Star Wars” trilogy, gave a one-word answer when she was asked whether she will return as Princess Leia in the new “Star Wars” movies now in the works at Disney, ABC News reports.

Her answer, according to the report, was: “Yes.”

The piece cites a Q&A Fisher, 56, did with Palm Beach Illustrated. ABC News reports that a key portion of the interview went like this:

Q: “Disney is going to continue the ‘Star Wars’ saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?”

A: “Yes.”

Q: “What do you think Princess Leia is like today?”

A: “Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home [laughs]. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.”

However, the piece notes that a rep for the actress said her participation in the project has not been confirmed.

The report adds: “LucasFilm, which made the original ‘Star Wars’ films, said, ‘At this time we are not ready to make any announcements about casting because, as Yoda said, “Always in motion is the future.”’”

The piece adds this tidbit: “Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, reaffirmed today at the annual shareholders meeting in Phoenix that the company is developing ‘some standalone movies’ in addition to ‘Star Wars’ episodes 7, 8 and 9 that will feature characters from the original series. Iger didn’t say which characters might be featured in the new films.”
