Production of a cable drama series was halted because of a rainstorm and flooding. Deadline.com reports that AMC’s period drama "Hell on Wheels" was forced to suspend taping after the epic storm prompted mandatory evacuations in portions of Calgary.

The show’s set is near the Bow and Highwood rivers, which both breached their banks. Producers decided to evacuate the set, with crew and equipment moving to higher ground.

The suspension of production was initially slated for two days, but it’s possible that production might not resume until after the show’s scheduled hiatus, which starts next Thursday, the piece reports.

The set hasn’t yet been affected, although the main road leading to it is flooded, the story notes.
