Former "King of Queens" star Leah Remini says she’s "not about to shut up" after her reported break from Scientology earlier this month. The actress made the comment in an interview with People magazine.

"I believe that people should be able to question things," Remini said, speaking to the publication at an event in Malibu, Calif. "I believe that people should value family, and value friendships, and hold those things sacrosanct. That for me, that’s what I’m about. It wouldn’t matter what it was, simply because no one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to."

As previously reported, Remini broke from the religion after she was reportedly subjected to "interrogations" and "thought modification." She apparently came under scrutiny after she questioned leader David Miscavige about the whereabouts of his wife at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ 2006 wedding.

Remini, who was part of the religion for three decades, said, "It doesn’t matter, it could be anything. I thought about the family being broken up for some other cause, and I’m not about to shut up," according to People.
