Executive Shakeout Continues at Syfy

NBCUniversal-owned Syfy continues to shake up its executive ranks, with the latest casualty at the cable channel being reality chief Tim Krubsack, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Krubsack’s exit from the channel comes just three months after Bill McGoldrick was tapped to replace Mark Stern as executive vice president, original content. Stern is set to become an executive producer for a new Syfy series that will debut this year, the story notes.

The network reorganized in November, with Syfy Films Senior Vice President Gregory Noveck and Director of Development Joshua Banta exiting at that time.

“After much consideration, I have decided to step down as Syfy’s head of unscripted development to pursue other opportunities," Krubsack said in a statement.

Krubsack had expanded Syfy’s unscripted programming, adding shows such as “Heroes of Cosplay” and “Opposite Worlds,” among others, the story says. He joined Syfy in May 2008.

  1. The worst thing that ever happened to Syfy was “unscripted” programming.
