The A&E reality show “Duck Dynasty” will feature Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal in its season premiere, signifying that despite controversy and falling ratings, the show “still represents a certain something important to a large number of Americans,” reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

Jindal will appear in the show’s sixth-season premiere on June 11. He supported the show and the Robertson family during controversy over anti-gay and racist comments that Phil Robertson, the family's patriarch, made in a GQ magazine article. At the time, Jindal said, "Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the state of Louisiana. The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with."

The story notes that it doesn’t appear the show will veer into political terrain in its upcoming season, with the storyline including a battle between Phil Robertson and beavers on his property.
