Casey Kasem’s wife, Jean Kasem, lashed out at stepdaughter Kerri Kasem over her father’s care, saying, “Everybody is standing by and watching her kill my husband,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kerri Kasem had started end-of-life procedures for her father, stopping giving him food, water and medications. But a judge ruled Monday that Kasem should be fed, hydrated and medicated while a court-appointed attorney considers his health, the story adds.

Kasem reportedly has dementia and has been in critical condition in a hospital in Washington state.

Kerri Kasem has been given temporary control of his treatment, and decided to start end-of-life measures because feeding and hydrating her father was causing him pain, attorney Troy Martin said in court. Martin said the judge’s ruling may cause Casey Kasem more pain.

"Jean Kasem has accused Kerri Kasem of trying to hasten her father's death so she could receive her share of his estate, a claim that was denied," the report notes.

Kasem's family members released a statement saying: "We (Kerri, Mike, Julie and Casey's brother) have been at the hospital by his side, sleeping in his room for 9 days during this difficult time. We wish Jean would come back to Washington, and be by his side in his last moments."

A hearing was set for this Friday to update the court on Casey Kasem's health situation.
