Media companies with local broadcast outlets will continue to report earnings depressed by the advertising market, Broadcasting & Cable reports. “It’s not getting worse on national TV, but it’s not getting any better. Local got worse in the first quarter; if you owned a TV station or radio or outdoor or a newspaper, it’s bad,” Morgan Stanley media analyst Benjamin Swinburne tells the publication. Time Warner will report first-quarter results on April 29, followed by Comcast and Viacom on April 30, Disney on May 5, News Corp. on May 6 and CBS on May 7, the publication says.
