ABC Cable Networks’ 24-hour daytime-drama channel SoapNet has named Deborah Blackwell as general manager. Ms. Blackwell will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations for the network. Most recently Ms. Blackwell was president of idealabs’ MyHome.com. Before that, she was senior vice president, media and entertainment, for Guidance. For several years she headed the television movie and miniseries packaging department at the William Morris Agency.
