Electronic Media Television will air a special 45-minute program on the news business and the Radio-Television News Directors Association this week via satellite and on the Internet.
EM’s RTNDA News TV Special Report will be anchored by Todd Magel, anchor-reporter for KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa. The report can be viewed on the Internet at www.emonline.com and www.rtnda.org starting Tuesday. The show will be telecast via satellite on Galaxy 3R, transponder 1C, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (ET) Tuesday and Wednesday; the transmission will be repeated both days from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
RTNDA President Barbara Cochran provides an update on the state of the association since the September cancellation of the organization’s annual convention, plus her views on issues now facing the news industry.
Featured stories will include a look at this year’s RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award winners; new innovations in electronic news-gathering technology and satellite news-gathering vehicles; and a profile of Northwestern University’s Medill News Service in Washington.
Streaming for RTNDA News TV is being provided by the Feed Room. Satellite services are from PanAmSat.
