Motorola supports iSurfTV’s program guide
Motorola Broadband Communications Sector signed a multiyear agreement with iSurfTV to include iSurfTV’s interactive programming guide in its line of advanced interactive digital set-top boxes. The SurfGuide IPG will be included in Motorola’s DCT2000 and DCT5000 models.
Cox TV warms up to MyWeather Web service
Cox Television has selected MyWeather’s Personal MicroCast Internet weather service for nine of its TV stations. The service, which allows a station to integrate its on-air weathercasts with its Web site, has been adopted by WSB-TV, Atlanta; WPXI-TV, Pittsburgh; KTVU-TV, San Francisco; WSOC, Charlotte, N.C.; WFTV, Orlando, Fla.; KFOX-TV, El Paso, Texas; WHIO-TV, Dayton, Ohio; WJAC-TV, Johnstown, Pa.; and WTOV-TV, Steubenville, Ohio.
