ReplayTV, SONICblue sued by media giants
Divisions of Disney, NBC and Viacom filed suit last week against ReplayTV and SONICblue, which acquired ReplayTV in August, in U.S. District Court, charging that the new Replay 4000 system violates the rights of copyright owners “in unprecedented ways.”
Replay 4000 enables users to digitally record programs and disseminate them on the Web. And Replay 4000 enables users to automatically delete commercials.
