“I would say that NATPE is a great organization, but the convention has clearly outlived its usefulness. I would love to see them reinvent themselves.”
Steve Wasserman, general manager, KPRC-TV (NBC), Houston
“I don’t think they have much of a choice. Everybody in the business pretty much has their [domestic] programming wrapped up before NATPE. I think it was a smart move. Nobody I know is going to be attending this year.”
David Cavileer, WXVT-TV (CBS), Greenville, Miss.
“I think NATPE in the past has been a terrific networking situation for people in our industry, and I think that’s a good thing. Whether or not they can find a way to continue a forum for that, I [don’t know]. I certainly hope so.”
Chuck Larsen, president, October Moon Television
