Nathan Lane has committed to a CBS comedy project with writer-producer Jeff Richman. CBS is negotiating with 20th Century Fox Television to produce the comedy pilot titled “Life of the Party.” Mr. Lane and Mr. Richman are repped by UTA. … Comedian Scott Henry has signed with ABC and Touchstone Television to create a comedy with writers Nastaran Dibai and Jeffrey Hodes (“According to Jim”). Greenblatt Janollari Studio is set to produce. Mr. Henry is repped by ICM and 3 Arts Entertainment. Ms. Dibai and her husband Mr. Hodes are repped by WMA. … Frank Oz signed with ABC to direct a comedy pilot for the small screen titled “The Funkhausers.” The project from Touchstone and Jersey Television marks Mr. Oz’s first foray into TV after making a number of feature films. Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein wrote the “Funkhausers” pilot. They will executive produce with Danny DeVito, Michael Chamberg, Stacey Sher and John Landgraf.
