Anthony LaPaglia has signed to play the lead character in Jerry Bruckheimer’s drama pilot for CBS, “Vanished,” which was written by Hank Steinberg. Mr. Bruckheimer will co-executive produce “Vanished” with Jonathan Littman. David Netter will direct. Mr. LaPaglia is repped by ICM, Artists Management Group and attorney Bill Sobel. … Ryan Merriman has signed to play one of the leads in an untitled pilot by ABC/Touchstone Television for ABC, themed around a father-son archaeology team. Patrick Massett and John Zinman wrote the untitled pilot. Bryan Spicer will direct. The trio will executive produce with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Mr. Merriman is repped by WMA and Lee Peterson. … Linus Roache will play the lead in “RFK,” an original telefilm for FX about the life of Robert F. Kennedy. Robert Lynn Dornhelm is set to direct. Bob Cooper will executive produce. The film is tentatively slated to premiere in August. … Richard Trapp has signed to play the lead character in The WB’s “In My Opinion,” a comedy pilot by Turner Television and Susanne Daniels’ untitled production company.
