TeleCable to test iSurfTV guide
Mexican cable operator TeleCable de Morelos will pilot test an interactive programming guide developed by iSurfTV, based in Sunnyvale, Calif. TeleCable’s digital subscribers in Cuernavaca, Mexico, will participate in the pilot test, scheduled to launch in early summer.
iSurf will customize a version of its IPG for TeleCable to run on Motorola DCT-1000 and DCT-2000 set-top boxes. TeleCable is a subsidiary of UnitedGlobalCom’s wholly owned Latin American operating entity United Latin America.
LiveWave unveils Mobile FirstView
LiveWave has introduced new technology that will allow field producers, engineers and camera operators to remotely control robotic cameras that use LiveWave software. Mobile FirstView, which runs on any handheld PC running Microsoft Windows CE or PocketPC 2002, is especially helpful for installation and configuration of remote cameras because it lets engineers and field producers check shot composition and review signal quality and image resolution while in the field, without using a portable monitor or computer. FirstView will support LiveWave’s PRO CC-100 and CNG-200 systems.
