PBS programming, with 41 nods, topped the list of nominations for the 23rd Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards, announced July 22 by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Second place went to CBS News, with 26 nods, followed by ABC News (19), HBO (10), NBC News (10), CNBC (8), CNN (8), Discovery (3), The Learning Channel (3), History Channel (2), Univision (2), and Animal Planet, Court TV, MSNBC, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and “Inside Edition” with one nomination each.
