Close-up: Janine Jones

Janine Jones has been promoted to VP of current programming at The WB. She will continue to work on “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” and two new comedies, “What I Like About You” and “Greetings From Tucson.” She joined The WB in 1996 as VP of prime-time publicity and spearheaded many publicity campaigns, including the launch of “Felicity.” She shifted to the series department as director of current programming in 1999. In her 13 years in TV publicity Ms. Jones worked on the campaigns for “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “In Living Color,” “Friends” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.” When Ms. Jones worked for NBC as director of prime-time series publicity she won the Maxwell Weinberg Publicists Showmanship Award for her work on “Friends.”
