Los Angeles-NBC has ordered a hybrid sitcom/reality pilot starring Kathy Griffin, focusing on her life as a celebrity. The series will be based on the stand-up routine Ms. Griffin performs weekly at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and her day-to-day adventures meeting celebrities. Ms. Griffin most recently was a contestant on ABC’s “Celebrity Mole: Hawaii” and is probably best known for her role on “Suddenly Susan.” The series is being developed through NBC’s alternative programming department. Stuart Krasnow is set to executive produce. “King of the Hill” writer Cheryl Holliday is in negotiations to write and executive produce the show.
