NATAS Adds New Categories
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will begin honoring business and financial reporting with the creation of four new categories for the News and Documentary Emmy Awards: Coverage of a Current Business News Story, Investigative Reporting of a Business News Story, Interpretation and/or Analysis of a Business News Story and Documentary on a Business Topic.
NATAS President Peter Price said the four new Emmys will be handed out at a luncheon ceremony Dec. 4 in New York instead of at the Sept. 3 News and Documentary Emmys gala.
Programs that aired between July 1, 2002, and June 30, 2003, are eligible. The deadline for entries is Sept. 1.
