Though the board of governors will not vote until Aug. 20, Tribune Entertainment President Dick Askin will be the next chairman and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, replacing Bryce Zabel, who served one term and chose not to run for re-election. The deadline to file for consideration was the night before Emmy nominations were announced, and Mr. Askin was unopposed. A number of other offices will be contested. The various branches elect governors, who then vote on the officers.
