Reunion series “Classmates” and makeover show “Ambush Makeover” have been on regional trial runs on Fox Television stations since July 7. Now insiders say both have passed their first tests. Twentieth Television has ordered six more episodes of each show, a spokeswoman confirmed. In addition, “Ambush,” which is produced by Banyan Productions in association with Twentieth and which airs in 20 markets where Fox owns local stations, will begin running in all 26 of Fox’s markets by Sept. 1. “Classmates,” produced by Small Cages Productions in association with FoxLab, Pipeline Entertainment and the Classmates.com Web site, already airs in all 26 markets. The production orders likely will keep both shows in original episodes into the new year-and signal Twentieth’s intention to roll the shows out in national syndication in early 2004, insiders said.
