Close-up: Chris Alexander

Chris Alexander has been promoted to VP of media relations for 20th Century Fox Television. Mr. Alexander will work with business and trade publications in communicating the studio’s deal-making and business strategies. He will continue to oversee the publicity campaigns for several of the studio’s series, including “24,” “The Practice”and “Boston Public” and new shows “The Simple Life” and “Married to the Kellys.” Mr. Alexander had been executive director of media relations, where he began as a manager in 2000. He’s overseen the publicity of such series as “Ally McBeal,” and helped launch the comedy hits “Reba” and “Yes, Dear.” Before joining 20th, Mr. Alexander launched Noggin, the MTV Networks educational channel for kids, as its first director of communications. He began his career at the ABC Television Network, ultimately rising in its press department to represent the ABC Newsmagazine “20/20.”
