“The networks have mostly traded the traditional wasteland of summer reruns for a deluge of mind-numbing reality shows scarcely better than the retreads they replaced. The exception: Bravo’s `Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,’ which NBC wisely shortened to a really entertaining half-hour for its rebroadcast-proving reality doesn’t have to be demeaning to draw a crowd.”
