We could tell you we are running this item about last week’s 2003 MTV Music Video Awards because we want you to know that Missy Elliott took home the most awards, including best video of the year and best hip-hop video. Or because we want you to know that Beyonce, Coldplay and Justin Timberlake also scored multiple awards, taking home three awards each. Or that other winners included 50 Cent, Eminen, Johnny Cash, Linkin Park, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead and the White Stripes. It certainly couldn’t be that we just wanted an excuse to run these pictures of Madonna greeting her girlfriends. Could it?
