He isn’t a double agent, but you might say New Yorker Gil Schwartz does have a double life. Most days he is at his desk as CBS’s personable communications chief. Last week, however, he could be found on Manhattan’s Upper West Side doing a reading from his new novel, “You Look Nice Today,” published under the pseudonym Stanley Bing (a name adopted for his books and Fortune magazine column). His dual identity isn’t exactly a secret. Among those in the crowd for the reading were a number of CBS colleagues, including network President Leslie Moonves and “Early Show”/“Big Brother” host Julie Chen.
Bada-Bing, buy the book
