D.L. Hughley, (“The Hughleys”) will host “VH1 Big in ’03,” a two-hour special that chronicles the year in music, TV, movies, people and events. Celebrities including Vivica A. Fox, Beyonce Knowles, Will Smith, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson will appear. The program premieres Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. (ET). … Caroline Rhea has teamed with writer/producers Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia for a new comedy titled “Plan B.” The project has received a script commitment from ABC. Ms. Rhea plays a stressed single woman who juggles romance and career. … John Henson’s (“Talk Soup”) new series “The John Henson Project” will premiere Jan. 11 on Spike TV. Mr. Henson is the host and executive producer. … Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) will host TNT’s “Christmas in Washington.” The holiday concert will include performances by Ashanti, Kenny Chesney, Joss Stone and Renee Fleming. The program will premiere Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. (ET).
Peter Gibson, Josh Wade and Michael Azria developed and executive produce a reality series called “Skavengers.” Kiera Chaplin will also executive produce the project, which focuses on two teams that compete in a scavenger hunt while trying to sabotage each other.
Charlie Craig (“Peacemakers”), Gale Anne Hurd (“Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines”) and Wendy Grean (“What Makes a Family”) will produce a project titled “The Coven” for Lifetime. Casting has begun and the pilot will be filmed in Toronto.
Steven Bochco has signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation in all areas. Mr. Bochco, who created such hits as “NYPD Blue,” “L.A. Law,” “Hill Street Blues” and “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” has never been represented by a talent agency before.
