“Tonight Show” star Jay Leno is the host of The Museum of Television & Radio’s annual gala Nov. 10 in Beverly Hills, Calif., which will honor CBS News anchor Dan Rather and “Friends” executive producers Kevin Bright, David Crane and Marta Kauffman. Mr. Rather is being recognized for his “steadfast commitment to fair and accurate news reporting,” the nonprofit Museum said, while the “Friends” producers’ work “has revolutionized quality prime-time entertainment.”

Abrams (“Alias”), Greg Berlanti (“Everwood”), Linwood Boomer (“Malcolm in the Middle”), Barbara Hall (“Joan of Arcadia”), David Kohan and Max Mutchnick (“Will & Grace”) and Shawn Ryan (“The Shield”) are “The Hitmakers” who will be on a Hollywood Radio and Television Society panel Wednesday in Beverly Hills, Calif., moderated by Jimmy Kimmel.
