Although he is now rich, famous and married to Trista Rehn, the Vail, Colo., Fire Department’s most famous employee, Ryan Sutter, still found time to lend his name and act as model for a good cause: to support an Art in Public Places program. The resort town has launched a clothing line called Vailwear that includes Vail Fire and Police Department-themed T-shirts, with items such as hats and shorts soon to debut (available at www.ownapieceofvail.com). Town spokeswoman Suzanne Silverthorn said Mr. Sutter was happy to participate in the town’s thinly Vail-ed attempt to cash in on his newfound popularity. “He’s a caring and compassionate person and whenever he has the ability to pitch in and help he always does,” she said, adding that, famous or not, Mr. Sutter is due back on the job Jan. 8. Around that time the town will present the newlyweds with a wedding gift-a Town of Vail manhole cover.
