Actor-producer-director James Woods was among longtime friends at the annual Caucus for Television Producers, Writers & Directors (which bills itself as the “conscience of the TV industry”) awards dinner Jan. 16 in Beverly Hills, Calif. The star of the USA Network’s movie “Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story” acted as master of ceremonies for the evening. He is shown grabbing the punim of Chuck Fries, one of the founders of the group, and kissing the hand of the American Film Institute’s Jean Firstenberg. Next up for Mr. Woods: a co-starring role with John Travolta and Uma Thurman in “Be Cool,” the sequel to the hit movie “Get Shorty.”
