Cyma Zarghami has been promoted to the newly created position of president, Nickelodeon Television. Ms. Zarghami will oversee all Nickelodeon Television operations, including Nickelodeon’s digital services, Noggin/The N, Nickelodeon Games and Sports and Nicktoons, and will continue to oversee all program production and development as well as marketing, programming and creative for Nick’s television businesses. She had been executive VP and general manager of the network since 1996. A kids programming veteran, Ms. Zarghami has managed several series at Nickelodeon, including “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “The Fairly OddParents” and “Dora the Explorer.” Most recently she launched the spinoff series “All Grown Up.” Ms. Zarghami began her career with Nickelodeon 17 years ago, rising through the ranks and playing a role in the company’s marketing partnerships, initiatives and growth, including the launch of Nickelodeon UK in 1993 and Nick at Nite’s TV Land in 1996.
