NBC Enterprises has sold the off-network run of “Fear Factor” to FX, which plans to run it as a strip starting this fall, sources said. A deal for a concurrent run as a strip on the Tribune stations is expected. The pact for the Endemol-produced, hour-long NBC series marks one of the first sales of a prime-time network reality show into syndication. NBC Enterprises declined to comment. NBC Enterprises opened sales for “Fear Factor” at NATPE in January. At the time, program buyers at the market eyed the series for early or late fringe and access time slots.
