Fox Puts In Some ‘Family Time’

Fox has bought its own version of the home makeover reality show, Rocket Science Laboratories’ “Family Time.” The eight-episode show will focus on families that need a complete makeover, whether that means redesigning their house, personal makeovers or even reinvention for the family pet.

“Family Time” will be hosted by Jay McGraw, the son of syndicated daytime personality Dr. Phil McGraw. The younger Mr. McGraw will work with a panel that includes a stylist, an interior designer and a construction crew, as well as car and pet experts, to help each week’s family.

Jay McGraw, who authors books for teens based on his father’s counseling techniques, has come close to getting syndicated and cable show deals in the past. He is a regular on his father’s syndicated strip, “Dr. Phil.”
